Multilingual Dynamic Assessment for Language and Content Learning: Addressing Sociolinguistic Diversity in India’s Primary Schools
The Project commenced on 4 February 2025 and continue until 3 February 2028.
Aims of the project
- The first aim is to examine the potential of Dynamic Approach for the enhancement of language and content learning in English classrooms in India;
- The second aim is to investigate whether multilingual assessment benefits students’ language and content learning.
- The third aim is to understand whether students are more or less receptive to multilingual asessment depending on how English is taught at school (as English as subject (RMI) or English as MI (EMI)) considering also differences in the educational policies implemented in the two states related to the promotion of the regional languages
